THE TATTRIE FAMILY | NOVA SCOTIA FAMILY PHOTOGRAPHY

When Kim contacted me to do her family session in the fall, I couldn’t have been happier. And when she said she wanted to do them in Tatamagouche, I was even more ecstatic!

In the spring of 2012, my husband and I decided to leave our lives in Toronto for the Nova Scotian life. My husband, being from Wentworth area, was thrilled. I was excited, of course, I loved NS and never felt more at home…but I knew it would be a struggle for the first year, especially leaving my family and “framily” behind…oh man, little did I know at the time how much of a struggle it would be.

We ended up living right in Tatamagouche for a little bit. It was such a cute little village. Whenever we had a day off – which was rare when both of us were on shift work – we would venture down to the creamery and the train station inn. Exactly where this photoshoot would take place. Being there reminded me of all of the good and the fun we had back then, even if at the time they felt not so good.

Seeing the Tattrie family and exploring all of the beauty that ‘Tata’ has to offer – especially in the fall – brought back the best of these memories. Especially being that the Tattrie family was still this new fresh family, the experience was awesome. So much excitement and love for their little guy…all caught on camera.

I could relate 100%, which made the session all the more memorable. I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed their session :).
